This is a recording of a live staff development seminar covering the use of Zoom in the live classroom. It shows how easy it is to extend your physical classroom to infinity. There were a roughly equal number of local and remote participants in this seminar and, as you can see in the recording, they were able to interact with the instructor and each other very naturally and about as effectively as they could have if everyone had been in the same room. Topics covered included remote synchronous pedagogy, practical details of using Zoom, equipment needed, and the use of Zoom as a remote support tool. This was a very organic discussion, going where it would when it would, so these items are a bit scattered throughout the recording. Also, the discussion about the Text Chat tool in Zoom at the beginning of the session is party missing due to the instructor’s lateness in pressing the Record button (mea culpa!). Most of what was said during the missing minutes was repeated later, however. Hope you find this recording engaging and helpful!
